We help families succeed. Rooted in the belief that success starts at home, our staff and local partners work directly with families to identify their individual goals and provide the tools, resources, and coaching to help them achieve security and stability. By guiding families on this journey and remaining active participants in their success and growth, we strive to make a difference in the lives of mothers, fathers, and children—and help them to pave the road to a brighter future.
We respect the individual dignity and concerns of every person and every family.
We value family life and the importance of helping parents and children to maintain a stable home.
We are committed to diversity and an ongoing effort to build a vibrant multicultural community.
We strive to engage and collaborate with every branch of government as we work with local municipalities, service providers, and fellow non-profits.
We value transparency and consistency in the mission to ensure that all families succeed.
The mission of Coastal Communities springs from the overarching goal of the Family Success Center model, which seeks to prevent child maltreatment by providing individuals and families with information, support, and resources that help increase the stability, health and well-being of themselves and their children. Established as a 501(c) (3) non-profit in 2004, Coastal Communities, formerly Long Branch Concordance, arose from a collaborative group of people, agencies and organizations dedicated to creating a healthy and sustainable environment for children in the greater Long Branch area. Since its inception, the agency has provided a welcoming, homelike space where people seeking a wide range of skills [opportunities] can connect with programs that build life skills and healthy living literacy, better equipping families to reason responsibly in their day-to-day lives. We strive to empower mothers and fathers by providing them with the tools and environment that address the unique concerns of their families and help them to grow stronger relationships with their children.
Coastal Communities Family Success Center, formerly known as Long Branch Concordance, is a result of a broad-based collaborative effort of people, agencies and organizations united to create a healthy, sustainable urban environment for children who live in the greater Long Branch area. In March 2004 the agency was established as a result of this collaboration. The goal was to develop and implement a centrally located agency where people in need of a wide variety of services could receive the information, resources and referrals to address the concerns of their families. Shortly thereafter, the agency obtained 501(c) (3) status.

The Family Success Center offers programs and services to the coastal Monmouth community. These programs and services include parent education, family literacy, life skills training, employment, parent-child activities, and outreach events. Our goal is to increase the knowledge base of parents, change behaviors, improve relationships, and provide the opportunity to grow parent—child bonding. Our programs and services are focused on economic self-reliancy and family sustainability.
We aim to enrich the lives of children and adults by strengthening families and the neighborhoods in which they live. The center provides tools and supports for families before they find themselves in crisis. Programs and services are designed to affirm and strengthen a family's cultural, racial, and linguistic identities, enhancing its ability to succeed in every aspect of a multicultural environment.
